Canterbury MBA

The Canterbury MBA (College of Business and Economics)

 Canterbury MBA starts in early February and ends by 30th of April in the following year.  Canterbury MBA program can be completed by the 15 calendar months full-time study.  For international students, the following is the entry criteria.

  • Graduate Diploma of Business Administration (as a prerequisite for non-degree applicants)
  • Canterbury MBA
  • IELTS (Academic) 6.5~7.0 with no less than 6.0 or 
  • TOEFL 600 (Paper-based test) or
  • TOEFL 250 (Computer-based test) 
  • GMAT 600 (Option)
  • Bachelors degree (Any discipline)
  • 5 years work experience (Managerial role)
  • Self-assessment essay
  • Interview
  • Reference from a current or previous employer

Papers for GDipBusAdm & The Canterbury MBA

Students undertake 12 core papers, 6 electives and a Project.  For the Canterbury MBA, students who hold no undergraduate degree must achieve a B average in the 12 core papers before undertaking 6 electives and a project.

Tuition Fees for International Students for 2024 (in NZD)
Fees for the Canterbury MBA is as follows.  15% GST is inclusive in the fees.  The fees don't cover optional workshops, Math refresher course, photocopying, laser printing and textbooks.
