Postgraduate Diploma

  Postgraduate Diploma Programs

  Postgraduate Diploma is a little bit unfamiliar qualification to the Japanese people as there are no such qualifications in Japan.  Each university and Polytechnic offers a variety of Postgraduate Diploma programs.  Diploma normally is the first half of a 2-year Masters program.  Upon successful completion of a Postgraduate Diploma program, students can roll over to a Master's Degree (1 year).

Entry Requirements

The following is the entry requirements for the Masters programs in NZ.

Postgraduate Diploma

 IELTS or TOEFL Other Requirements
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Commerce
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Aviation (Management) 
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Science, etc.
  • IELTS (Academic) 6.5 (with no less than 6.0) or 
  • TOEFL 575~600, TWE 4.0~5.0 (Paper-based test) or
  • TOEFL 232~250, Essay rating 4.0~4.5 (Computer-based test)
    acquired within the past 2 years 
  • Bachelor Degree in a relevant field of study 
  • Good academic records and/or
  • Work experience (for Graduate status)
